This latex tube was specially shortened to the size 349/355 mm.
The use of latex tubes has an extremely positive effect on the behavior of the bicycle tire.
The rolling resistance is reduced and is in the range of tubeless systems. The damping of the tire is also improved.
The tire rolls much more smoothly when using latex tubes.
The best conditions for racing.
Technical data:
Valve: SV (Sclaverand) 48 mm
Sizes: 349-355 mm
Widths: 19-55mm
Weight: 65 gr.
Please note that latex should not be exposed to sunlight for long periods of time. Store spare tubes in opaque containers. Pure latex tubes in particular age quickly in direct sunlight and become brittle.
Check the tire pressure before starting your ride. Especially in summer, at higher temperatures, a latex tube lets air escape more quickly than a butyl tube of the same size.
Choose the latex tube so that it fits the width of the tire well and does not have to stretch or does not have to stretch much in the tire.
Be sure to use talcum powder when fitting it so that the tube can expand evenly in the tire.
Also make sure that the rim tape is fitted carefully.
Particular attention is required when fitting wide tires with relatively narrow tubeless rims.
-At first, a low pressure should be applied.
-The tire should then be kneaded a little to stretch the tube evenly in the tire.
-Now the nominal pressure can be pumped up.
-After the tire has settled into the tubeless hump, you should release some pressure again to half. This will prevent overstretching in the area of ??the hump.
The tire can now be finally pumped up.
Since the valve stem has no thread and therefore cannot be screwed onto the rim, it is ABSOLUTELY important to ensure that the valve stem is not pressed into the rim when inflating. When inflating, you should ensure that the tube is in contact with the rim bed in the area of ??the valve by pulling lightly on the valve stem. Otherwise, the tube may overstretch because the tube creeps under the adhesive point of the valve. In the worst case, this could cause the tube to burst.
The latex tubes may only be used in rims with a Presta valve hole (diameter 6.5mm).
